About This Wine
Light and frisky wine here, kind of the calling card for most of the reds from Good Intentions Wine Co. So much to like with what they do, always individual and interesting wines from these guys.
From the volcanic soils of Mt Gambier (The ‘youngest’ volcano in Australia), this Pinot Noir benefits from growing in the rich acidic soils of this dormant volcano. Bright and fresh this is such a complete wine, lots of forest berries, and earthiness with crunchy acidity keeping it all fresh and fun.
Andrew and Louise have a singular focus to showcase the unique terroir on Mt Gambier in their wines. This Pinot does just that, while providing a high level of drinking enjoyment.
About Good Intentions Wine Co.
Andrew and Louise Burchell moved to Mount Gambier with a view to start a family, grow grapes and craft wines that showcase the unique terroir of their home.
Mount Gambier is Australia's youngest volcano, having last erupted only 6000 years ago. The Burchell farm and their additional leased vineyards are all set on the slopes of Mount Gambier, the mix of rich volcanic soils and mineral-charged water making for unique grape growing conditions in their little patch of earth.
The Good Intentions wines are all made with indigenous yeasts, bottled unfined and unfiltered and released with little to no sulphur. These are slightly wild and idiosyncratic wines packed with personality.
An interesting producer doing things just a little bit different in their patch of the country.
