About the Wine
While Pinot Grigio's "spiritual" home is in the north of Italy, winemakers all across the globe have embraced it. The Freeman Bianco Pinot Grigio is inspired by the Grigios of Italy, with acid crispness, aromatic intensity, and citrus zestiness all coming together, with added floral touches (elderflower blossom) and poached pear spiciness. A great wine for summer or autumn, either for sipping/glugging by itself or with a range of Italian-inspired dishes or seafood.
Part of the complexity of the Freeman Bianco Pinot Grigio comes from the wine being fermented in two different ways: in stainless steel, to retain freshness and fruit; and oak barrels, to give structure.
