About The Wine
This is a blend of three varieties, picked on the same day from the same vineyard.
Simla is predominantly Chardonnay, with a healthy portion of Riesling and a dash of Sauvignon Blanc.
"It's a wine that changes each year, depending on what the vineyard gives us, which I really like." says winemaker Nav Singh. It's definitely a wine formed by the season and vintage, which is the cornerstone of Domaine Simha.
A textural yet aromatic blend which is very moreish.
About Domaine Simha
Nav Singh is the man behind the Domaine Simha label. Along with his wife Louise, Nav has built a unique stable of Tasmanian wines under the Domaine Simha banner.
He draws from multiple philosophies when crafting his range. The winemaking is mostly traditional, using low amounts of additives, fermenting in clay amphora, experimenting with varying levels of whole bunch and skin contact. The fruit he sources from the Upper Derwent, Coal River and Huon Valley regions, is all picked according to the lunar calendar ala biodynamics.
At Domaine Simha, new project is always in the works. Nav is never afraid to take a chance or try something new.
