It's farmed biodynamically, and the winemaking is about getting out of the way. Genesis is Syrah with a small splash of Viognier, the Côte-Rôtie model, and in a cooler, steady year like 2021 that gives the wine lift and perfume rather than extra weight.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDark cherry, black olive, violets and dried herbs, with a stony, ironstone edge that feels very much of the site. It's not a blockbuster at 13.5%, but there's real depth. Fine, persistent tannins carry it, fresh acidity keeps it moving, and there's a savoury, spiced line right through to a long finish. Give it time in the glass.
