About the Wine
Verdelho is an underappreciated variety in Australia - it's great seeing some younger winemakers giving it some TLC and some new life. A wild fermented and oak matured version is just one way to do this.
Some time in barrel and on lees has given the wine a breadth and length which Verdelho often lacks. There is still a lot of fragrance and a lot of fruit to be found here - the wine bursts with tropical flavours of lychee, pineapple, melon and pear. The balance is great, with a linear and refreshing acid line finishing with a crunch of white pepper. Drink it by the pool or with some Thai food.
