About the Wine
Well, it's about damn time. Moscato is long overdue for a rebrand, and this is an exciting and new interpretation of the variety. Half of this wine saw time on skins, and another portion saw time in small format oak before being blended back together. Fragrant? Yep. Textural? Oh boy. Flavoursome? You better believe it!
It's a pretty wine, but powerful too. It bursts open with musk sticks, pink lady apples and a cleansing citrus line. There is some grippy structure, too, bringing balance and freshness. It's fruity, but not sweet, and would go brilliantly with Thai or Vietnamese.
About Allevare
Lucy and Alysha are the brains behind Allevare. Lucy has a Masters in Oenology and Viticulture, has completed 14 vintages around the world and now works full time in Gippsland. Alysha is a career florist, working for 12 years in London and Victoria - she knows how to make things pretty. With their powers combined, they produced Allevare, which means 'to nuture' in Sicilian.
The couple are dedicated to sustainable viticulture, working in harmony with the land rather than against it. They also want to use their work to promote equality and equity in the wine industry, and they have made some great changes already. We're thrilled to have them as part of our range!
