A satisfying and savoury wine.

About This Wine
McLaren Vale has proven itself to be a pretty good place to grow Southern Mediterranean grape varieties. From both a terroir and climactic perspective, there are lots of similarities.
This delish Tempranillo is an excellent case study, with pretty aromatics of red fruits and just a hint of spice. The palate is a little more generous and leans towards blue fruits with that same warm spice and an savoury earthy character.
Juicy acidity alongside fine-grained tannins, give this wine a good shape, and nice balance.
About Willunga 100
In 2005 when they founded Willunga 100, Grenache in McLaren Vale was mostly used for blending. But the people behind this label had a crystalline vision to showcase the variety, and how well suited it was in the region.
To that end, they found some 50 y/o dry grown bush-vines, and began the journey. These days, it’s clear how special McLaren Vale Grenache is.
And the name Willunga 100? It seems that during the settlement of SA, you needed 100 households to get a place on the map, hence Willunga 100.
