A more serious Chablis but one to appeal to lovers of this appellation.
About This Wine
Quite a classic ‘villages’ wine here, AOC Chablis that is a true expression of the region.
Fruitiness and minerality are at the core of this wine, with crystalline purity being expressed from these old vines situated between the 1er cru vineyards of Vaillons and Cote de Lechet.
From vines that are over 40 years-old, and vinified completely in tank, both elements are integral to the wine’s tremendous purity and laser cut saline precision. Mouthwatering and utterly more-ish.
About Vincent Dampt
A fourth-generation winemaker in Chablis, Vincent Dampt, set out on his own in 2003, while still working within his family’s’ estate in Milly in the heart of Chablis.
His focus with his wines is to respect the classic finesse and minerality of the region, utilising his experience in NZ and Burgundy with Olivier Leflaive, to bring a different, nuanced approach to his Chablis offerings.
Maintaining his plots organically, Vincent’s holding are all centred around Milly with two separate 1er cru vineyards in the mix.
