This Pinot drinks like a Barbaresco.

About The Wine
Joe Holyman is one of the leading lights of Tasmanian wine.
His Stoney Rise Pinot Noir always massively over-delivers, and this is no exception. With a wealth of experience from across the global wine scene, Joe along with his wife Lou, have become the proprietors of the old Rotherhythe vineyard in northern Tasmania. From a vineyard that needed some serious TLC, they have been producing some top shelf Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for over a decade. This is serious stuff.
The Stoney Rise range, as James Halliday once observed, is all about "focusing on fruit and early drinkability", immediate drinking pleasure is the goal and boy have they nailed it here. It comes from 90% estate-grown fruit and 10% from Joe's growers, and it's a vibrant, refreshing, effortless style of Tasmanian Pinot.
More complexity than you'll almost ever see for under $30 and one of Tasmania's true bargains.
