About The Wine
Matt Harrop knows good Pinot and he's not afraid to make it- he's the current winemaker at Curly Flat, and in the past has been a finalist for the Gourmet Traveller WINE winemaker of the year award.
But Silent Way Pinot is his home project, from a vineyard on his property in Kilmore in Macedon. And it's a brilliant value mid-weight wine that punches way above its level.
Beautiful rich plummy aromatics, and some earthy, tertiary characters just starting to develop.
Outstanding value cool climate Pinot.
About Silent Way
Silent Way, is the family project of Matt Harrop and Tamara Grischy, a single elevated vineyard in the Macedon Ranges that they purchased in 2007.
Matt, of Shadowfax and Curly Flat winemaking fame, makes his home here, nurturing a small vineyard, and releasing small amounts of great value Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Silent Way is named after an innovative Miles Davis album from 1969.
