About The Wine
While Seppeltsfield are known obviously for their fortified wines, there is a more recent range of still wines which have grabbed our attention.
Barossa Vermentino... not two words we’d normally have next to each other yet here they are. A lifted nose, alongside a powerful citrus palate framed with a fine structural mineral acid backbone.
Light and effusive, there’s enough interest in the glass here to bring us back for more, fresh easy drinking, value for money wine.
About Seppeltsfield
Seppeltsfield is a Barossa icon winery, famous for its unbroken line of hundred-year old tawny release, and also for its Canary Island date palms which line the avenues of its amazing cellar and winery.
First established by Joseph and Johanna Seppelt in 1850, it has been back in private hands since 2007 after a period of corporate ownership, owned by winemaker Warren Randall.
Their incredible heritage of fortified wines is now being supplemented by a renewed focus on outstanding still table wines. The future seems as bright as its past.
