Lovely stuff here. Claret-plus, let’s call it.

About The Wine
This is a great example of modern South Australian Cab Sauv from the hands of energetic young Danish-born winemaker, Uffe Deichmann.
The fruit comes from McLaren vale, and spends a little time on skins, Uffe looking for a soft extraction of tannin and colour to produce a Cabernet with early approachability.
This is great drinking, with plenty of deep, ripe fruit flavours and a lick of toasty oak and that vibrant pop of blue fruit and violet.
It's a Cabernet Sauvignon you can get stuck into right now or cellar in the medium term.
About Poppelvej
Poppelvej (pronounced 'Pop-ell-veye') is a pint-sized winery based in McLaren Vale started by young Danish sommelier-turned-winemaker, Uffe Deichmann with the help of his brother Jens.
The name Poppelvej translates to "the street of the poplar trees", a homage to the family home property of the same name.
Uffe now has a small, ramshackle winery dug into in the side of a hill in McLaren Vale. He produces tiny amounts of wine with a minimal intervention philosophy.
Low amounts of sulphur (but always some) are used, the ferments are all wild. Massive black concrete eggs and an array of oak vessels in varying sizes are used as fermenters. It's a small but love-filled operation he is running.
