About The Wine
We wish someone would give us some delicious Riesling as a care package...
Like a number of other NSW producers Mount Majura lost their 2020 vintage to bushfire smoke taint, so ventured to Tasmania to indulge their lust for great Australian Riesling.
This beautifully luscious Riesling was sourced from the Chartley Estate and Waterton Hall vineyards in the Tamar, and was made in a similar way to their normal Canberra wines - whole bunch pressed and cool fermented, and left with a small amount of residual sugar.
It's got a bright nose of citrus, lime juice and some appley notes, and a deep palate with a lick of gentle sweetness. Gorgeous to drink.
About Mount Majura
Mount Majura is one of the most exciting producers in Canberra.
They are quickly gaining fame for producing top class Rieslings and alternative varieties with sensational value across the range.
Winemaker Frank van der Loo's obsessive focus on the terroir and his attempts to find the perfect variety for each patch of dirt under Mount Majura's ownership are resulting in unique and spectacular wines for the region.
