About The Wine
The Meyers have been locals of Alsace since 1832. Almost two centuries on and five generations later, Felix Meyer is now in charge of the family winery, and has been since 1992.
These wines are considered some of the best value in France. The family owns holdings in some of the most sought-after vineyards of the region, having over 75% of their organic-farmed sites located on the prized sloped vineyards across seven communes in the region.
Felix crafts the wines with a level of precision and skill that has made him revered by his peers. He uses traditional methods, fermenting wild in a mixture of stainless steel and large format oak and allowing the wines a long time on lees before release.
The 'Reserve Riesling' comes from a selection of younger vines and a portion from some of their cru vineyards.
It's dry, precise and showcases excellent extension of flavour. It's some of the best buying you will see from this famed wine-growing region.
Heads up - this historic family Domaine, based in stunning Katzenthal - there have been Meyers here since the mid 18th century!
No lover of simple fruitiness he looks for mineral expressions across his hillside vineyards, that include five Grand Crus and seven communes.
