About This Wine
If you’re looking for a pale dry French rose, stop reading here, move on, this wine isn’t for you. If you like your rose with power, character and bursting with flavour, read on.
Summer in a glass here, smashed berries, tart red stuff, orange citrus, it’s like a negroni full of fruit with great acid. The one word that comes to mind is drinkability, and seriously high levels of it.
It’s well past time for people to stop judging rose by colour, go on, jump in.
About Frederic Mabileau
Inspired by the achievements of his father, Frédéric Mabileau started his personal label in 1988 when he planted his first vines on his wife Nathalie's property known as 'Rouillères'.
Frédéric's family history in winemaking and viticulture harks back to 1620, but with Nathalie by his side, he set out to forge his own reputation. Today his wines are considered benchmarks of quality for the Loire. Organically farmed and crafted with a light touch in the winery, these are wonderfully expressive Cabernet Francs and Chenin Blancs that are utterly compelling to drink.
