About The Wine
A Sangiovese - Syrah blend, mirroring the Italian-French collaboration of Gianmarco and Clementine...
There is a smattering of local red grapes also in the cuvee, which was left to macerate on their skins for about 20 days. A little wild and funky, with fresh cherry and blackberry aromatics.
.More of a vivid, crunchy wine than the main Le Coste, this can be enjoyed young, preferably with a plate of Italian cold cuts. Is Le Coste, is good.
.About le Coste
Le Coste is a beautiful vigneron venture started by husband and wife team Gianmarco Antonuzzi and Clementine Bouveron in the picturesque area around the town of Gradoli in the northern part of Lazio’s north.
Of their approx. fourteen hectares of land, only a small percentage is planted to vines - the rest is trees, shrubs and olive groves. They sit high up above the expansive Lake Bolsena, tending a multitude of different plots, and releasing a bewildering array of small batch wines from varieties such as Procanico, Malvasia, Aleatico and Sangiovese.
They work biodynamically and with very minimum intervention in the winemaking.
