About the Wine
With time in Touraine region, Laurent has been able to develop relationships with the community of like-minded winemakers and grape-growers in the region.
So with the impact of frosts on his vineyards, he has turned to buying some fruit from organic vineyards nearby, which is where he sourced the Grolleau grapes for this wine .
Delightful, and fresh, it’s so light on the dance across the palate, yet its chock full of bright fresh and oh so attractive flavours. Super juicy and well worth a chill.
About Laurent Saillard
Beginning his wine like as a restaurateur, Laurent Saillard developed a love and appreciation for natural wines working in New York.
Returning to France he found himself in the Touraine sub-region of the Loire Valley. Working with Didier Barouillet & Catherine Roussel of the Clos Roche Blanche winery, he learned the art of lo-fi winemaking.
From 2012 he started his own project taking over a parcel of their vineyards, and in 2020 released his first Negoce wines, with organic fruit sourced from outside vineyards.
He makes pure, expressive wines of great joy.
