About the Wine
Theodora is a blend of Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling from organic vines in Burgenland.
Theodora is part of the 'children' range of Gut Oggau, where the wines are vibrant and energetic with big personality in their youth.
A small amount of skin contact brings a lightly dusty mouthfeel, aged in old large casks and bottled without any additional sulphur makes for a wine that feels balanced and composed, even at this early stage of its life.
It's a bright, nervy and crunchy white/amber wine. Only tiny allocations are available.
About Gut Oggau
Gut Oggau is one of Burgenland's finest cult producers. Eduard Tscheppe & Stephanie Tscheppe-Eselböck took over Vineyard Wimmer, a 13-hectare estate near the banks of Lake Neusiedl, in 2007.
Over the subsequent years, they have converted the vineyard to biodynamics (Demeter certified) and set about producing some of Burgenland's most electric lo-fi wines, with some truly unique packaging!
Raw, charismatic and lively, the Gut Oggau Australian allocations come and go in the blink of an eye.
