About The Wine
A fascinating and refreshing white blend here from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna.
The grapes are grown organically in the Contrada Arcurìa on the Northern slope of the mountain, 600 metres above sea level. There is a distinct minerality here which is derived from the rich volcanic soils, with time on lees in concrete adding extra layers of texture and detail.
This blend of Carricante and Catarratto shows great energy and drive through the mouth. Another great reason here to fall in love with the unique wines of this region.
About Graci
A lot of Italian wineries have rich stories behind them, and Graci certainly fits the bill.
Alberto Graci had a successful career in Milan as an investment banker prior to starting Graci, the winery. The death of his grandfather, who was a winemaker, would change his career trajectory and propel him to carry on his legacy. So, in 2004, he invested in a site on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, full of rich volcanic soils and an ever-changing microclimate.
The philosophy of Graci wines is to focus on expressing the unique location and environment of their vineyards, and each wine they produce is filled with interest and curiosity for the drinker.
