Impressive wine, intriguing too.

About the Wine
Impeccably balanced and rich, this is one powerful amber wine from Trish.
Like the Bianco Castagno, she draws on her time at Cantina Giardino for this one - the blend sees two weeks on skins before having a little sleep in chestnut barrels.
It's deep and bold, yet incredibly balanced - rich stone-fruit flavours dance with volcanic minerality from the Bolseno soils. Filled with interest and complexity.
About Gazzetta
Trish Nelson is an Aussie making waves in Italy with her minimalistic approach to winemaking. After working at powerhouse Italian wineries like La Coste and Cantina Giardino, she decided it was time to start her own label - and thus, the birth of Gazzetta.
She makes her wines in a hillside near Lake Bolsena in Lazio, with a 2.5 hectare vineyard that she nurtures with organic principles (though not yet certified) and cares for by hand. It's a very lo-fi approach, adding nothing in the cellar and only treating the vines with tinctures made from local herbs, like nettle, camomile and willow.
Her wines are full of life, with each bottle showcasing her passion for winemaking, and are sure to put a smile on your face.
