About The Wine
Refreshing Riesling from one of the bargain quality producers in Germany.
The Pfalz region is a touch warmer than the Mosel or Rheingau, and this represents a richer style of dry Riesling, chock-full of stonefruit and mango flavours backed up by the ever-present crunchy spine we find in the variety's spiritual home.
Excellent choice for some non-thinking everyday drinking.
About Dr Burklin-Wolf
The Bürklin-Wolf wine estate is based in the Mittelhaardt, within the Pfalz region in southern Germany. With 85ha under vine they have the largest family owned wine estate in the country with an enviable roll-call of superb vineyards at their disposal, at the centre of which lies the famous Kirchenstück.
In 1990, Bettina Bürklin took over the Estate from her parents, together with her husband Christian von Guradze. Their decision to classify the vineyard sites according to the Burgundian tradition, as well as their decision to convert the entire vineyard area to bio-dynamic production methods was a revolutionary move in German viticulture.
