About The Wine
Chevrefeuilles translates as honeysuckle and this wine, and it's delicious red counterpart, are named for the heady perfume that wafts around the Southern Rhone in Springtime. It's particularly apt here as this wine opens with an aromatic nose of blossom and minerals that leads to a pithy and fresh palate of citrus and orchard fruit.
Crafted primarily from old vine Clairette with Grenache blanc and Roussanne in supporting roles this is a lithe and aromatic rendition of a style that can, at times, be oily and overbearing.
It's no wonder Remi and Oliver Klein are known to be masters of elegance when it comes to Southern Rhone. Stylish and unique.
About Domaine la Remejeanne
The Klein family, father Remi and son Olivier, have 35 hectares of organically-farmed vineyards in the wooded, rocky hills of the southern Ardeche, a world away from the riverside vineyards of the Rhone Valley itself.
These are wines that proudly speak of their place – high up in the hills with soils comprised of sand and limestone. This highly distinctive terroir results in a range of fresh, highly refined Côtes du Rhônes brimming with fruit and character.
They are far cooler and purer than many of the Côtes du Rhônes produced at lower altitudes.
