About This Wine
Do not let the colour deceive you - this is real grown up rose, a wine that demands to be treated with respect and attention.
Racy, mineral-inflected red berry, citrus zest and floral aromas show excellent clarity here. There is a real dry and fleshy focused palate, delivering intense raspberry and bitter cherry flavours and a bracing kick of Campari.
This very suave wine shows a deft blend of power and finesse on the long, floral finish. You’ll never look at Provence rose the same way again.
About Domaine du Bagnol
Domaine du Bagnol is one of the oldest wine estates in Cassis, with a mention in archives from 1430 regarding the vines in the Bagnol district.
The modern history of the Domaine begins in 1997 when Jean-louis Genovesi bought it. His son Sebastian runs it today, with a focus to preserve the authentic character of the Domaine.
They work naturally, with 2014 being their certified organic release.
Out of conviction, not obligation, they now farm biodynamically as well. To Sebastian, its part and parcel of making wines of rare elegance.
