About the Wine
The Domaine du Bagnol Cassis Blanc is a stunning Provencal white that really speaks of its origins. The blend of three white grapes brings out beautiful aromas of lemon, blossom and herbs.
The palate is defined by a refreshing salinity and bright acidity, with citrus and blossom on show. As the wine was stopped from going through malolactic fermentation, it has maintained its fresh and fruity profile, making it quite lean. It's an ideal wine for drinking on warm nights on the beach by itself, or for having with seafood dishes or pasta.
About Domaine du Bagnol
Domaine du Bagnol is one of the oldest wine estates in Cassis, with a mention in archives from 1430 regarding the vines in the Bagnol district.
The modern history of the Domaine begins in 1997 when Jean-louis Genovesi bought it. His son Sebastian runs it today, with a focus to preserve the authentic character of the Domaine.
They work naturally, with 2014 being their certified organic release.
Out of conviction, not obligation, they now farm biodynamically as well. To Sebastian, its part and parcel of making wines of rare elegance.
