About The Wine
There's a promising future for Malvasia in the Riverland.
This Italian native suits the region to a "T". It ripens late yet holds its acidity, even in hot, dry climates. Greg is pumped about the future possibilites for this variety - so here he takes it for a spin to see what it can do with a little skin contact. About a third of the fruit was skin-fermented for two week bringing out the moreish chewy tannin and bold fruit flavours that are the hallmarks of Malvasia.
It's not quite a full-blown orange wine, more a white wine with plenty of punch. It's a Hell of a ride.
