Lushness and freshness, super syrah here with character lavished onto a drinker. Serious stuff.
About The Wine
Shiraz out of the McLaren Vale labelled as Syrah, which is a good indication that this is not an oaky, sweet-fruited expression.
This is more French in outlook, dry, peppery and savoury with a beautifully flowing palate and a linear, pleasing finish. The idea here is an expensive imported wine that is a definite extended cellaring possibility.
The real McLaren Vale miracle here is that it's solid value! Great buying and great drinking.
