About this Wine
The Soave Classico San Michele is a great introduction to the fantastic range of white wines from Ca' Rugate.
Leading off with a powerful floral bouquet, it’s quite a silky wine with a gentle sweetness contrasted by a more tart, citrus and green apple character. Clean, lean and refreshing, the finish brings minerality and florals to the fore.
With what can be described as one of the best site specific ranges of wine from the Soave DOC, this wine is a perfect entry into what Ca’ Rugate are showcasing.
About Ca' Rugate
Ca’ Rugate is located in Montecchia di Crosara in the province of Verona.
While they produce a formidable suite of Amarone and Valpolicella wines, as well as a varietal Durello metodo classico, it’s their offering of terroir-transparent Soave that they are known for.
According to Michele Tessari, fourth-generation family member and oenologist at Ca’ Rugate, their goal is to maintain an “agile and snappy style,” which shines throughout their entire range.

From clay and basalt soils on volcanic hillsides, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at 16 to 18 °C for around 8 to 12 days.

Do I have to order in dozens? No, please mix it up! You can order wines in any quantity and variation you like. You can order 1 bottle or 50. We challenge you to make the ultimate mixed pack of wine!
Are there volume discounts? No, our pricing is designed to be the best in market already - no marking up and then discounting down! For very large orders (weddings, etc) we are open to negotiating though. Just give us a call.
Do we price match? Yes, within reason. Everyday low & consistent pricing is something we strongly believe in. We want our customers to feel confident they are always getting the best price. If you see a price lower somewhere else let us know and we'll consider matching it. We'll even retrospectively issue you store credit if you have already purchased from us but you see a lower price somewhere later on. Our price match policy can be seen here.
Can coupons and discounts be stacked? No, only one discount or coupon can be applied to an order at once.
I am trying to add more of a wine to my cart but it won’t let me? This means we are running low on stock of that wine. So for example, if the website will only allow you to add 3 bottles and no more, then that is all we have of that particular wine. The good news is we may be able to order more for you. Just contact us on 02 8376 8775 or hello@differentdrop.com and we'll organise the additional quantity for you.
Does Different Drop have a physical store? No. Just an a warehouse/office. We occasionally do events however, so sign up to our newsletter or follow us on instagram to stay in the loop.
Can I special order a wine you do not sell? If it’s doable, then we’ll make it happen. Just contact us directly via phone, chat or email and we’ll find out for you right away. Please note that in most cases special orders such as these will need to be in full case lots (6 or 12 bottles).
