BK is one of the kings of the Pet Nat game in Australia.
He was one of the original producers of these fizzy freaky things back half a decade ago. This Pinot Noir version is one of his most smashable to date.
It's 100% Pinot from a vineyard in Lenswood. It's fermented in a ceramic egg after being whole binch pressed, then bottled up with a healthy live ferment kicking in the bottle.
What has emerged is basically a version of a fizzy strawberry shortcake. It's super limited but if you're quick, you can sip one of these this summer!
About BK Wines
BK Wines is one of the poster boys of the modern artisan wine movement in the Adelaide Hills.
Owner/winemaker Brendan Keys is not afraid to do things differently. His wines are all from single vineyards (some biodynamically farmed), fermented with wild yeasts, unfined and unfiltered, with extended skin contact and even clay fermentation eggs occasionally thrown in for good measure.
His wines are creatively imagined, an artist meets skateboarding punk rocker kind of vibe.
Brendan is one of the more respected producers of the Adelaide Hills avant-garde.
