About the Wine
Mellot is one of the great producers of classic Sancerre - linear, acid-driven and elegant, a little more delicate than the usual whites that come from Chavignol.
The Satellite cuvee is a blend of parcels of Sauvignon Blanc fruits from the hillsides in Sancerre. The vines here are low yielding, and produce flavourful little fruits that hold a minerality and acidity from the Kimmeridgian soils.
It's a beautifully balanced, expertly crafted wine. Imagine wrapping yourself up in a golden robe while falling into a bath filled with crystals and citrus, and you're close to the experience of drinking this wine.
