About The Wine
As the former Soviet country of Georgia has been making wines for thousands of years, it seems appropriate that they would influence winemakers elsewhere in one way or another. "Amber" wine (also known as "orange") is the practice of letting the skins of white grapes rest in the juice during fermentation, imparting flavour, colour and texture, just like with red wines.
The Alpha Box & Dice Golden Mullet Fury runs with this idea, using skin contact for individual parcels of Semillon, Muscat and Riesling, which were all then aged in old oak before blending. The result is a mix of guava, beeswax, preserved lemons and curry leaf aromas and tangy fruits on the palate, with waxiness and saltiness and a mouthwatering finish.
