About The Wine
The Clarence House wines in their hands have never looked better, under the winemaking tutelage of Tasmanian winemaking power couple, Anna Pooley and Justin Bubb. This husband and wife team are making some of the finest wines in Tasmania.
This Pinot Noir is sleek, elegant and finely detailed with a beautiful strawberry and violet filled nose, and tight, linear palate and a lovely mineral line - such as an excellent place to start your exploration of Southern Tasmanian Pinot Noir.
About Clarence House
Bought and planted by Dr David Kilpatrick in 1998, the Clarence House vineyard is made up of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Tempranillo, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
While he is very hands on, and involved in the day to day of the property, he entrusts the vineyard management, and winemaking to professionals.
Mark Hoey, a generational grape-grower looks after the vineyards, and uses his expertise in organic and biodynamic farming to nurture the vines without the use of chemical sprays or synthetic materials.
In the winery, regional superstars Anna Pooley & Justin Bubb, guide the fruit to bottle, providing their award winning expertise to their neighbour and friend David.
