About The Pack

This our most popular mixed pack of the year - six showstopping reds, perfect for warming the cockles, at a brilliant price!

This year we've included some of our absolute favourites from some of the country's finest artisan producers.

We've included brand new releases from Luke Lambert, S.C. Pannell & the 95 point Grenache from Frederick Stevenson along with 'The Clare' from the 2019 Young Gun of Wine Winner, Koerner and two showstopping Shirazes from Ravensworth and Bondar.

At $27.50 a bottle, this pack is excellent value and guaranteed to scratch the red wine itch now that winter is here.

2018 Koerner The Clare Red Wine

The brothers Damon and Jono Koerner just took out the 2019 Young Gun of Wine award. They are on fire at the moment.

'The Clare' is their idea of a modern Clare Valley red.

The base of this wine is a classic Clare Valley varietal marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, but contrary to what those varieties usually produce from the Clare, this is a lively, juicy red wine ready to be tucked into immediately.

It's the Clare Valley viewed through the eyes of two younger generation locals who want the wines of their home to be vibrant and accessible and they are nailing their mission.

2017 S.C. Pannell Tempranillo Touriga

The S.C. Pannell 'Temp Touriga' has for many years now been one of Australia's most successful 'alternative variety' wines, and the 2017 is another flawless release.

Portuguese inspired yet quintessentially Australian, it represents Steve's idea that wine should complement our climate and culture, not work against it. Amen to that.

This varietal pairing just works so well. The plump, chocolatey fruit of Tempranillo with the bold floral aromatics and sweet spices of Touriga Nacional - it's a winning combination.

Whether you're a frequent lover of this wine or a Temp Touriga rookie, there is scarcely a better value red wine in McLaren Vale and you should absolutely give this a go. Giddy up!

2018 Frederick Stevenson Hongell Grenache

Steve Crawford works with some great old vineyards across the Barossa Valley.

The BV Hongell Grenache comes from a vineyard just to the south of the historic Barossa sub-region of Tanunda. It was made with 40% whole bunches and zero new oak. Steve looks to capture the personality of each vineyard he works from, here he's done a top notch job.

Mike Bennie was enamoured with the 2018 release, rating it 95 points and praising it's delicate 'Pinot Noir-esque' delivery.

It's Barossa Grenache with a different look. It's light, crunchy, and wickedly drinkable. Grenache fans with a penchant for original expressions of the variety should get on this.

2018 Luke Lambert Crudo Shiraz

Luke Lambert's 'entry level' Crudo Shiraz is terrific value for money.

Luke is one of the modern superstars of the Yarra Valley. If you want to get to know his wine, this is the perfect place to start.

Luke makes this in a style which is more approachable in its youth than the exceptional, collectable Luke Lambert Syrah. A Yarra Valley Shiraz with drinkability as the focal point, it shows all the perfume, freshness and spice that makes Luke's Shiraz/Syrah so unique.

The Crudo is ready to go now. Luke says it's his best effort yet under this label. And he's not wrong, it's delicious.

Lovers of Luke's wines and/or cool climate Shiraz should back up the truck.

2017 Bondar Wines Violet Hour Shiraz

The name 'Violet Hour' refers to the fading light owners Andre Bondar and Selina Kelly saw on the horizon as they picked the last bunches of Shiraz for their first ever release, the 2012 edition of this wine. A violet sky, a beautiful wine, and a new future ahead for the couple and their vines. The Violet hour tastes as stylish as it looks, it hits that sweet-spot for all red wine lovers - a combination of elegance and power.

The pedigree of the McLaren Vale vineyard is second to none - it's one of the most respected sites in McLaren Vale where Seaview and Blewitt Springs meet. You get the lively, bright blue fruits of the sandy soils of Blewitt Springs with the power and structure of the Seaview terroir. It's a winning combination.

Aside from the huge 97 point review from James Halliday, the quality of the Shiraz speaks for itself. Put simply, if you like McLaren Vale Shiraz with a fresh face - this is a must buy.

2017 Ravensworth Shiraz Viognier

The Ravensworth Shiraz Viognier has become one of the most sought after wines in Canberra, owner/winemaker Bryan Martin now consistently producing a wine of glorious complexity from his home grown fruit.

Bryan's Shiraz is Northern Rhone Valley inspired, with a splash of co-fermented Viognier adding perfume and mouthfeel to what is a remarkable Shiraz. Given Bryan Martin's day-job as assistant winemaker at Clonakilla where he, alongside Tim Kirk, produces Australia's foremost Shiraz Viognier, it comes as no surprise to see this wine reach such great heights.

The 2017 looks sensational once again. It's been two years since the release of this wine. The extra time in bottle and barrel revealing a wine more approachable and tantalising than ever before. If you fancy your cool climate Shiraz then this is simply a must for your cellar and/or dinner table. Exceptional value.

These are some of the last remaining stocks in the country. Don't miss your last chance to get a hold of this beautiful wine.
