About The Wine
Pedro Parra is one of the world's leading experts in terroir, and it was a small patch of dirt in Portezuelo in the heart of Itata that caught his eye for this wine.
It's a gentle slope, with 120-year-old Pais vines growing on top of poor granitic soils. Just the perfect spot for high quality Pais, according to Pedro.
The winemaking is minimal interventionist, Parra looking to mainline vineyard character with as little distortion as possible through the lens of the Pais grape. It's a medium-bodied, minerally, crisp-textured red that is bright, deep with flavour and delicious to drink.
