About the Wine
This Pinot Noir from Toolangi shows off only the best fruit that their vineyard produces.
The vines of E Block were very lovingly tended to, with a very attentive team nurturing them through the vintage to coax out only the most stellar and pristine Pinot grapes - both flavourful while keeping all of that wonderful natural acidity.
The result of the final wine pretty much speaks for itself - bursting with delicious herbal aromas and whole bunchy spice, it's powerful in flavour yet maintains its grace. Any fans of a stellar red better get in quick.
About Toolangi
Toolangi is a relatively undiscovered jewel of the Yarra, tucked in the corner of the Dixon's Creek sub-region up against the Toolangi state forest from where it takes its name.
Started by the Hounsell family in 1995, Toolangi was all about the vineyard, with famous Victorian names taking care of the winemaking.
Now owned by Rochford, the winemaking and viticulture is all in-house, headed by ex-Mount Mary man Kaspar Herrman. His recent releases have seen incredible quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a nod towards more graceful, structured wines.
