...a magical potpourri of flavours and textures. In fact, it is the best blend of this ilk tasted from these shores... I have no idea what this costs as I taste it, but it deserves to be expensive. A profound white.

About The Wine
Sam Connew is an excellent winemaker and her rising Tasmanian label, Stargazer, is definitely one to watch.
'Tupelo' is her Alsatian-inspired blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Riesling. This is a very well-constructed version of this classic aromatic blend, with good acidity and a touch of grip to offset the natural fruit sweetness of these expressive varieties.
It's delicious, interesting and good value, the perfect wine to tuck into alongside a plate of fresh shellfish or sashimi.
Sam's wines are only made in small quantities so get in quick!
About Stargazer
Sam Connew. Previous Chief Winemaker a the famous Wirra Wirra vineyards, said she'd never start her own label.
Never.
She packed her bags and left the Vale to her home in the Hunter Valley. A couple of trips to Tassie later, and boom, Stargazer was born.
It is a labour of love for Sam, making small quantities of wine from small parcels of fruit. Striving for individuality and quality.
Sam's wines are beautiful, ethereal representations of the Apple Isle.
