Excellent wine. Most likely very age-worthy too.

About The Wine
The ‘Grounds’ wines from Seppeltsfield are a set of single-vineyard releases that in essence are a study on the hero grape of the region, Shiraz, and the unique micro-climates of the Barossa.
The Northing, from Marananga, is a brooding and intense expression of Shiraz. Though tightly wound, the ferrous nature of the sub-soils is evident in the wine, with depth and richness, sitting nicely alongside the chew of tannin.
Terroir driven, this wine speaks to place, while also demanding patience in order to see it through to its full potential.
About Seppeltsfield
Seppeltsfield is a Barossa icon winery, famous for its unbroken line of hundred-year old tawny release, and also for its Canary Island date palms which line the avenues of its amazing cellar and winery.
First established by Joseph and Johanna Seppelt in 1850, it has been back in private hands since 2007 after a period of corporate ownership, owned by winemaker Warren Randall.
Their incredible heritage of fortified wines is now being supplemented by a renewed focus on outstanding still table wines. The future seems as bright as its past.
