About This Wine
A very contemporary take on Sauvignon Blanc, one amongst the landscape of new producers working very hard to change the perception of this oft abused and commercialised variety.
This is quite a complex offering here, lovely multi-faceted citrus, minerality, spice and nuts. There is a great weight to this Sauvignon Blanc, all the while, still retaining the core varietal acidity.
Farmed organically, this estate-grown wine sits easily amongst the number of exciting modern Sauvignon Blancs emerging from Canberra’s younger-gen winemakers.
About Poachers Vineyard
Poachers Vineyard is a relatively new producer on the scene, part of the Bruce family’s growing enterprise on the farm they have owned for 3 generations and over 50 years.
All their wines are produced from estate-grown fruit, off their Poachers and Wily Trout vineyard.
Managed by Will Bruce, the 2nd generation of the family, it was his passion and drive for wine that was the reason for them launching a wine label.
Forward thinking, Will farms the vineyards organically, which are now in the process for certified conversion.
