About The Wine
The Boisson family farms a few different parcels of vines throughout Burgundy's Cote de Beaune, producing wines under a few different labels, depending on which family member is making the wine!
Pierre Boisson is the youngest generation of his family to make wine in Burgundy, crafting this exquisite Bourgogne Blanc with Chardonnay sourced from four different plots in Meursault.
The wine is fermented in French oak barrels (10% new), and aged in the same barrels for 18 months with minimal batonnage.
About Pierre Boisson
Formerly known as Domaine Boisson-Vadot, today's Pierre Boisson winery is run by the family team of Bernard and his children Anne, and Pierre Boisson. Bernard says the family has been growing grapes in the village of Meursault "since the time of Jesus", but the family didn't start making their own wine until the year 2000.
Today, the family farms a few plots across the Cote de Beaune, including one in the lieu-dit of Perchots and another parcel of 50-year-old vines inherited from Bernard's mother.
A cult name in the wine world, the family has a hands-off approach in the winery, never using more than 30% new oak and working to showcase the distinctive terroir of each vineyard.
