About This Wine
An intensely concentrated and rich wine, the La Rocca is the flagship white from Pieropan.
With a bit of time on skins, this Garganega explodes with a gorgeous nose packed with melon, and citrus. Exotic and immediately appealing the palate is plush, and fleshy, with soft textured peach and melon fruit characters.
Despite the richness and roundness in the mouth, there is plenty of zippy, refreshing acidity, minerality and a zesty, clean finish. Such an awesome Soave, with the uniqueness of the single-vineyard imparting so much originality.
About Pieropan
A Family affair, Pieropan is now run by the 4th generation of the family; brothers Andrea and Dario.
Pieropan are true icons of the Soave region, and in the last 20 years their wines have introduced many young Aussie Sommeliers to the wonders of Garganega.
Always with a focus on respecting the land, Pieropan is certified organic, with the younger generation also leaning into biodynamic practices as well.
While their origins are in Soave, they wanted to evolve and grow. In 2000 they purchased some land in Valpolicella, farming their vineyards there organically as well.
