About The Wine
The Picardy Chardonnay stands as a flagbearer for the fuller figured Chardonnays of old.
It's been a constant search for the Pannell Family to find the balance of lavish texture and restraint at Picardy, regardless of the style of Chardonnay that is in vogue at the time.
It's made to be luscious and packed with flavour, unapologetically curvaceous and impossibly moreish. If you yearn for the days when Chardonnay was ripe and creamy, the Picardy Chardonnay will take you back there in very classy fashion.
This is another great release from a much-loved WA estate.
About Picardy
Picardy is the Pemberton outpost of one of Australia's leading wine producers, the Pannell family of Moss Wood fame. Bill and Sandra Pannell started Moss Wood way back in 1969, and established Picardy in 1993. Their son Dan is now the main man on campus.
All fruit for Picardy wines are from their own extensive vineyards and the focus is on sustainably-grown classic varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The region offers ideal conditions for cool climate wine making, with moderating ocean influence, cool breezes and plenty of rainfall.
