Serious white wine here. Magic stuff.

About The Wine
The Mullineux Old Vines White is a fresh but also multi-layered wine with a lot of verve.
As the name suggests, the majority of the grapes are sourced from old vines in the Swartland region of South Africa. The nose shows aromas of ripe apricot, blossom and mandarin, and on the palate it's all about texture and energy, with citrus notes and some creaminess from the barrel maturation and lees ageing.
While 20% of the barrels used for ageing are new, the oak is integrated well into the wine, resulting in a drop with a lovely textural feel and lots of body.
About Mullineux
Mullineux Wines was started in 2007 by Chris and Andrea Mullineux, a South African and American duo who have made quite a name for themselves in the last decade, winning many accolades and fans. Some of these impressive accolades include Andrea being named Wine Enthusiast’s 2016 International Winemaker of the Year, and Chris & Andrea becoming Tim Atkin’s South African Winemakers of the Year in 2016.
Mullineux produces a wide range of wines, including easy-drinking bottles and single-terroir, premium wines. The focus is mainly on Syrah, as well as Chenin Blanc, South Africa's favourite white grape. In 2013, Chris, Andrea and founding partner Peter Dart joined forces with hospitality guru Anjit Singh to create Leeu Passant Winery.
