About The Wine
The 'Reserve Riesling' comes from a selection of younger vines, some even coming from their Grand Cru sites.
A pure, elegant nose, with mineral notes of aniseed and citrus. As a dry, mineral wine it is ideal for serving with fish, seafood and shellfish, as well as food that has a touch of spice.
So precise, and showcases excellent extension of flavour. It's some of the best buying you will see from this famed wine-growing region.
About Meyer-Fonne
Founded by Felix Meyer, Domaine Meyer-Fonne is now managed and run by the 3rd generation of the Meyer Family, with great-grandson (also named Felix) now working with his father to modernise and grow the Domaine.
Farming 15 ha of vines across 7 different communes, they produce wines from 5 Grand Cru vineyards of Alsace. The soils range from poor quality filtering alluvial deposits to rich, deep clay sandstone land, with granite in between. Organic farming practices are followed (not certified), while all work in the vineyards is done by hand.
All wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts in both stainless steel and barrel. Aged on lees and naturally stabilised, then left for extended ageing before going to bottle.
