About the Wine
There is something truly unique about Sancerre. When a winemaker gets it right, capturing that cooling essence of wet stone and under ripe fruits, there really is no wine like it. Rest assured, you're in safe hands here.
Sourced from over 30 different plots, this combines Sancerre's classic elegance with complexity and intense flavours. Kiwi and fresh greenery come through on the nose, with wet rock and cooling mint. The palate is precise and focused, with some white nectarine, savoury bramble and lively citrus. Go classic and have this with a soft goat cheese, or go Aussie and have this with some fried school prawns.
About Domaine Vincent Delaporte
Domaine Vincent Delaporte has been family owned and operated since the 17th Century - they have survived economic crises, endured world wars and weathered the phylloxera epidemic. Since 2010, the domaine has been in the hands the latest Delaporte custodian, Matthieu, who has held true to the traditions of the region. In fact, everything old is new again.
Organics have been adopted in the vineyards and oak is used sparingly, allowing for a showcase of genuine flavours inherent to Sancerre. Since 2015, harvests have only been carried out by hand. This all of this ensures only the best fruit is used and that the resulting wines are balanced, quality driven and true expressions of site.
