An outstanding Blagny that should give up to 18–20 years of drinking pleasure.
About this Wine
Off vines with an average age of 35 years, this is a pure expressive 1er cru red Burgundy, that holds lots of appeal for the purists.
Intense black fruit aromas precede the spices of this powerful and atypical wine. Voluminous with rounded tannins, it is surprisingly mineral and energetic.
With a portion of new oak used in this wine, there is a structure and weight here, and it’s quite easy to see their house style in as much more serious frame.
