About The Wine

Guilhem Goisot is one of the rising stars of Burgundy.

Along with his father, the highly-respected Jean-Hughes Goisot, Guilhem is crafting some of the best value wines coming out of Burgundy at the moment. With a heavy focus on biodynamic farming, these wines from lesser-known Burgundian appellations are some of the hottest property in French wine today.

The critical acclaim for their wines is absolutely stellar. They are comfortably some of the best value you will find from the region. If you want high-quality white Burgundy that won't destroy your bank account, these wines are a must-try.

In 2014, Guilhem inherited a small parcel of land in Chabils, in Bienes, just north of Chitry. The vines were planted back in 1976 by Guilhem's father-in-law.

He now farms it biodynamically, and produces it traditionally. The fruit is fermented in tank, then aged in old, neutral barrels. The essence of the region preserved beautifully by this young talent.

It's a powerhouse wine, ripped and muscular and etched with nervy acidity. A brilliant offering from the young Burgundian to drink now or cellar for a decade.

About Domaine Goisot

Guilhem Goisot is one of the rising stars of Burgundy, his family vineyards and winery located in the tiny Saint-Bris appellation, not far from Chablis.

Along with his father, the highly-respected Jean-Hugues Goisot, Guilhem is crafting some of the best value wines coming out of Burgundy at the moment. With a heavy focus on biodynamic farming, these wines from lesser-known Burgundian appellations are some of the hottest property in French wine today.

In fact, France’s leading wine guide, Revue du Vin de France’s Classement des Meilleurs Vins de France has Goisot rated higher than all but 2 other producers (both Chablis Cru producers), in the Yonne section of the guide.

If you want high-quality white Burgundy that won't destroy your bank account, these wines are a must-try.

From The Importer

Followers of this Domaine, which is located just outside the Chablis AOC, have often wondered what a Goisot Chablis might look like. Well wonder no longer! In 2014 Guilhem Goisot inherited a small, 0.4-hectare parcel of Chablis in Biene, just north of Chitry, planted in 1976 by the father of his wife Marie. The lieu-dit is called Faucertaine and the fossil-ridden, limestone soils here—which Goisot likens to his Côte d’Auxerre Gondonne vineyard—have been farmed biodynamically since the domaine took over in recent years. The 2019 was fermented in tank before aging in 500-litre barrels on lees. Outstanding Chablis.

Blend : Chardonnay (100%)

"A deft dollop of wood is present on the mildly exotic nose of dried yellow fruit, iodine and oyster shell wisps. There is both fine volume and vibrancy to the delicious middle weight flavours that also exude a subtle bead of minerality on the complex, balanced and focused finale. This is lovely and a wine that should drink well shortly after release but also reward a few years of cellaring." - Allen Meadows (Burghound)

Delivery times vary considerably with Australia Post and unfortunately there is no Express Delivery Option for wine (because it is fragile and heavy). PLEASE NOTE that we are currently seeing significant delays in the Australia Post delivery network. Strict government health and safety requirements and very high parcel volumes are causing significant backlogs at the main NSW and VIC sorting facilities. Orders are still arriving safe and sound but you may notice slower delivery times and less frequent scanning updates than usual.

Do I have to order in dozens? No, please mix it up! You can order wines in any quantity and variation you like. You can order 1 bottle or 50. We challenge you to make the ultimate mixed pack of wine!

Are there volume discounts? No, our pricing is designed to be the best in market already - no marking up and then discounting down! For very large orders (weddings, etc) we are open to negotiating though. Just give us a call.

Do we price match? Yes, within reason. Everyday low & consistent pricing is something we strongly believe in. We want our customers to feel confident they are always getting the best price. If you see a price lower somewhere else let us know and we'll consider matching it. We'll even retrospectively issue you store credit if you have already purchased from us but you see a lower price somewhere later on. Our price match policy can be seen here.

Can coupons and discounts be stacked? No, only one discount or coupon can be applied to an order at once.

I am trying to add more of a wine to my cart but it won’t let me? This means we are running low on stock of that wine. So for example, if the website will only allow you to add 3 bottles and no more, then that is all we have of that particular wine. The good news is we may be able to order more for you. Just contact us on 1300 668 385 or hello@differentdrop.com and we'll organise the additional quantity for you.

Does Different Drop have a physical store? No. Just an a warehouse/office. We occasionally do events however, so sign up to our newsletter or follow us on instagram to stay in the loop.

Can I special order a wine you do not sell? If it’s doable, then we’ll make it happen. Just contact us directly via phone, chat or email and we’ll find out for you right away. Please note that in most cases special orders such as these will need to be in full case lots (6 or 12 bottles).
