About the Wine

The Fevre name goes back to 1745 in Chablis. The domaine is currently run by oenologists Gilles and Nathalie Fevre; Gilles takes care of the vineyard, while Nathalie looks after the winery, with everything done by hand. They are now joined at the domaine by their daughter Julie, an engineer and oenologist

The vineyard from which the fruit is harvested, Fourchaume, was planted between 1942 and 1989. It sits on Kimmeridgien soil, found throughout Chablis, and which makes the region special and adds a particular minerality to the wines.

This is a rich and minerally wine with superb fruit and acidity, and flinty and smoky notes. An excellent accompaniment to a wide range of foods. Either drink now or hold for a few years.

About Domaine Fèvre

Nathalie and Gilles Fèvre are the current owners and proprietors of Domaine Fèvre, a family-owned domaine who's history in the region stretches back to 1745.

Nestled in the heart of Chablis near the village of Fontenay-Près-Chablis, the Fèvres are grape-growers first and foremost. Both Nathalie and Gilles have degrees in oenology, Gilles tends the vines, Nathalie makes the wines. Their central focus is on preserving the unique characteristics of their family-owned vineyards. As such, the wines are all vinified as separate parcels to maintain quality. They are pure, balanced and made with integrity.

Their daughter Julie has now entered the family business bringing youth and energy to the label and ensuring the family legacy will continue for many years to come.

Critic Reviews

Decanter Magazine

"Smoky, reductive notes add appeal on the nose. This Fourchaume has a good balance between approachability of ripe, sunny, fruits and driving acidity, allied to a flinty finish. A very elegant wine with crisp acidity, lots of freshness and a lingering aftertaste." - Andy Howard MW (Decanter Magazine)

James Suckling

"Aniseed with steel and stone on the nose, as well as lemons and green apples. Full-bodied and really intense in the center palate with exotic flavors, such as mango. White pepper, too. Lively finish. Drink or hold." - James Suckling
