About the Wine
The Fevre name goes back to 1745 in Chablis. The domaine is currently run by oenologists Gilles and Nathalie Fevre; Gilles takes care of the vineyard, while Nathalie looks after the winery, with everything done by hand. They are now joined at the domaine by their daughter Julie, an engineer and oenologist
The vineyard from which the fruit is harvested, Fourchaume, was planted between 1942 and 1989. It sits on Kimmeridgien soil, found throughout Chablis, and which makes the region special and adds a particular minerality to the wines.
This is a rich and minerally wine with superb fruit and acidity, and flinty and smoky notes. An excellent accompaniment to a wide range of foods. Either drink now or hold for a few years.
