About The Wine
Wes Pearson is on an insane hotstreak at the moment cranking out some exception modern expressions of McLaren Vale at a great price.
His twin single vineyard Shiraz from 2019 are fantastic. This, the Wait Vineyard version, is the richer, more 'classic' example of McLaren Vale Shiraz.
It's rich, inky, thick with fruit and tannin but maintains great balance at the same time. In his 96 point review, Ned Goodwin MW wrote, "possibly no better expression of upper-echelon warm-climate shiraz at such a price."
About Dodgy Bros
What started as a small garage winemaking project for viticulturalist Peter Bolte, has grown into a full-time fun-filled winemaking gig.
With fruit secured from top growers with a handshake, Peter, along with Canadian winemaker Wes Pearson and 'grower extraordinaire' Peter Sommerville are now making tasty treats in a wide range of styles from excellent McLaren Vale sites.
The Dodgy Bros wines don't take themselves too seriously. These are adventurous and energetic wines with plenty of personality.
