It’s a terrific expression of McLaren Vale Shiraz.
About The Wine
Here's a great example of a modern Shiraz from McLaren Vale.
The fruit comes from the ‘Old Block’ at the Sherry Vineyard in Blewitt Springs planted in 1955.
This is the more savoury and lithe of the two single vineyard Shiraz wines from Wes in 2019. It's juicy and bright but with a dark and moody underbelly. And it has unmistakable x-factor.
It's a fantastic wine - loaded with personality. Ripper release from winemaker Wes Pearson.
About Dodgy Bros
What started as a small garage winemaking project for viticulturalist Peter Bolte, has grown into a full-time fun-filled winemaking gig.
With fruit secured from top growers with a handshake, Peter, along with Canadian winemaker Wes Pearson and 'grower extraordinaire' Peter Sommerville are now making tasty treats in a wide range of styles from excellent McLaren Vale sites.
The Dodgy Bros wines don't take themselves too seriously. These are adventurous and energetic wines with plenty of personality.
