About The Wine
This is a fascinating blend of varieties that you seldom see together.
It's an expression of a single organically-farmed vineyard behind Swan Valley. The fruit is hand picked and berry sorted so only the best fruit makes it into the ferment. It's then sent to a single French oak vat to ferment, mellow out and find synergy before being bottled.
It's a medium-weight, exotically scented red wine with ultra fine tannin and a high level of drinkability young.
For now or for the cellar, this is a great all-rounder that would match a million different dishes.
About Corymbia
Corymbia is the latest chapter in the story of one of the founding families of WA wine. The Manns have grown grapes and made wine in the area for over a century. Generations of knowledge and understanding has been handed down from parents to children, now to Rob & Genevieve Mann, who have distilled that knowledge into their budding label, Corymbia.
These are organically-farmed, single-vineyard wines that have real heart and integrity. They are tightly wound, firm in structure and show a level of tension and definition that you rarely see in a brand so young.

The wine expresses the qualities of the Swan Valley that our family has admired for over 100 years. The aim is to make a wine true to its site that captures the warmth and richness of the valley and affords great drinkability. A field blend of 62% Tempranillo and 38% Malbec; the grapes were hand harvested together, individually berry sorted prior to carbonic maceration and natural fermentation in a single French oak vat. Maturation followed in the same French oak vat for 10 months.
Vibrant and penetrating with a beautifully perfumed aroma of crunchy pomegranate, mulberry and summer pudding. An inky palate with texture and verve framed by lip smacking saturated tannins. Tastes of maraschino cherries, blueberries and salted liquorice with precise ripeness and a near perfect balance of density and freshness.

"A field blend of 62% Tempranillo and 38% Malbec. I *think* this is a replacement for the Corymbia red, rather than a new wine, as such. I could be wrong.Ripe raspberry, blueberry, liquorice, spicy biscuits and some pretty floral notes. It’s dense and chewy in tannin with a ferrous feel to it, deep and rolling, but still fresh with a bright raspberry/pomegranate tang, and some distinctly umami/seaweed flavours in the mix. Finish is long and savoury, with a slick of crushed rock tannin to close. Distinctive and wonderfully regional. Excellent." - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)

Warehouse Pickupis available from our Sydney warehouse in Ultimo, 2007. Just select Local Pickup at checkout. We are open 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Do I have to order in dozens? No, please mix it up! You can order wines in any quantity and variation you like. You can order 1 bottle or 50. We challenge you to make the ultimate mixed pack of wine!
Are there volume discounts? No, our pricing is designed to be the best in market already - no marking up and then discounting down! For very large orders (weddings, etc) we are open to negotiating though. Just give us a call.
Do we price match? Yes, within reason. Everyday low & consistent pricing is something we strongly believe in. We want our customers to feel confident they are always getting the best price. If you see a price lower somewhere else let us know and we'll consider matching it. We'll even retrospectively issue you store credit if you have already purchased from us but you see a lower price somewhere later on. Our price match policy can be seen here.
Can coupons and discounts be stacked? No, only one discount or coupon can be applied to an order at once.
I am trying to add more of a wine to my cart but it won’t let me? This means we are running low on stock of that wine. So for example, if the website will only allow you to add 3 bottles and no more, then that is all we have of that particular wine. The good news is we may be able to order more for you. Just contact us on 02 8376 8775 or hello@differentdrop.com and we'll organise the additional quantity for you.
Does Different Drop have a physical store? No. Just an a warehouse/office. We occasionally do events however, so sign up to our newsletter or follow us on instagram to stay in the loop.
Can I special order a wine you do not sell? If it’s doable, then we’ll make it happen. Just contact us directly via phone, chat or email and we’ll find out for you right away. Please note that in most cases special orders such as these will need to be in full case lots (6 or 12 bottles).
