About The Wine
Gravillas references the stark white gravel soils of this organic estate in the rugged high country of the Languedoc.
Woven from a total of 7 varieties, this fresh, vibrant unoaked red is led by Syrah and Carignan.
A perfect glass with cured meats, its joyful juicy spiced red fruit is tempered by savoury spice and woody herbs.
About Clos du Gravillas
Located in the little town of St-Jean-de-Minervois, Clos du Gravillas sits in the rugged, rocky landscapes of the vast Parc National du Languedoc. Now 8 hectares in size, the estate was established in 1999 by Kentucky native John Bojanowksi and wife Nadine, who hails more locally from Narbonne.
Run to strict organic practices, vineyard yields are kept extremely low from a range of 15 local red and white varieties.
Located on a plateau around 300m in altitude, its soils are distinctive rocky white limestone chips, appearing stark and dazzling in the brilliant southern sunlight.
